Seventeen Teacher Links:
This site is primarily for students by the looks of the website. There are flash cards to learn from as well as a bunch of topics you can read more about. It is a great virtual Museum of Natural History for the students who live in rural areas. You could show children a specific topic such as climate change and it will show you videos as to create a green house or see pictures of climate change.
http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/
This site is primarily for teachers that can look up information and then explain to the children in easier terms. This site would be hard for students/children to operate due to the overwhelming links you can go to. Gives a great overview of American History and a timeline. I would use the timeline in my class to give an idea to the student's what events happened in a sequence of events.
This site gives a good idea about the national map. I would not recommend this site to students because it is not the easiest site to operate. A teacher could use this site to show students unique things about the map of the united states. This website is more for older students trying to learn more in depth about America’s elevation and other topics.
http://www.metmuseum.org/home.asp
This website would be good to show a class that is about to go to an art museum, or if you are not able to see an art museum than you could just use this site to see different cool artifacts. This site is more for teachers showing students different artifacts. Good for visuals for students to see different art.
http://www.sheppardsoftware.com
This site is easy to use for students and that there are plenty of games and topics for young children to learn. Simple website for students to learn about math, US geography, science games, and nutrition for kids. These sites can be self-used by students and I would incorporate this into free time learning for students who have already finished their work.
http://www.4teachers.org (Look at each of the Family of Tools)
This website is 4 teachers obviously by its name, but it gives great resources on success stories or tech assessments. The website offers online tools and resources that can be good for creating web lessons, quizzes, rubrics. This is a good site for planning and helps with special needs activities. This site is only for teachers and would be used for incorporating lesson plans for students.
http://illuminations.nctm.org/
This site can be used for both students and teachers. Students can play brain teasers and playing education games. Teachers can give students interactive games to play about math shapes and such. There are plenty of games for students to play all day on. It has activities for K-12 students, so the teacher can use any of those activities.
http://www.readwritethink.org/
This website is better for teachers and that they have interactive lessons for K-12. It has 900 lesson plans and 17 mobile apps you can use. This website is for teachers and that students would not like using this website. You could use any of those 900 lessons to use in your own classroom. Good website to find ideas on.
This website is for students to interact with. This looks more like an elementary website with it giving K-5 activities and games to play. A teacher can give their students this website and they can play different word games or games appropriate for their age group. Very easy website to use in that students can use this without the teacher having to explain much.
This website is for children ages from preschool till 5th grade. It helps students specifically with math and writing and that this website gives free worksheets and pintables for the students to learn from. This website is both for teachers and students and that the students can play games and the teacher can print out good lessons for the students. The website is fairly easy to use and that students would not need much help finding games to play.
This website is primarily for teachers to use as materials for students to learn from. This gives good articles on current trending events such as martin Luther King’s day. Has a good digital collection and that the students can see through images on unique topics like Alan Lomax and his collection of Wisconsin recordings. I personally would not use this site, but if the information you need is on this site than I would use it.
This website looks to be a more student used website in that the teachers could allow students to read certain children's books online. This website looks to be preschool ages in which students are still needing to be taught the ABC’s. This website could be good for first time students learning about technology. A very basic website with lots of clip art and animation.
http://www.teachervision.fen.com/special-education/teacher-resources/6640.html
This website is more for teachers needing to find certain print outs. This allows a teacher to use classroom management and discipline tools. Gives good lesson plans and that students would not need to use this website. It gives good images and themes as well as lots of activities you can do with the students. This website is for K-12 learning and that all ages can learn from this website.
This website is specifically for making bingo cards and using them for different topics. Any teacher can use this website to create new bingo boards that are fun with students. This website is easy to use in that students can input their own bingo sheets and can play as a class. Besides the bingo this is all the website is designed for. I would use this website if every student has an iPad or computer to themselves.
http://www.ilclassroomsinaction.org/standardsbooks.html
This is a website solely for teachers in that they have the student standards books for each age group k-12. It is an easy tool to just look something up through this website. Besides looking up the Illinois learning standards books there is nothing else besides that to do. Not a website for the students.
This website is for students looking to find resources. This site looks to be at a middle school level and that teachers could also use this website for blogs or classroom strategies. This site is very wordy in which it would seem to be a lot for students. This website is good for specific topics to look up and understand.
This website is for teachers trying to teach writing such as argument writing. This class is for new ideas and that it shows importance of the gay-straight alliance and the importance of self-care. This site is not as much for education learning, but more for people trying to learn about these different organizations. It gives great videos of happy ideas and learning topics.
